Dyslexia Association in Kent Services & Shopping Directory

The Dyslexia Association of Bexley Bromley Greenwich and Lewisham gives information to and help for parents, teachers, adults and interested professionals. The separate adult group is open to anyone over 18 from any area within commutable distance of Bromley. We liaise regularly with Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham Local Authorities. We are working with the Local Authorities to make their schools dyslexiafriendly. We are consulted by the Local Authorities, and asked to sit on various steering groups. We regularly respond to both local and national policy document consultations. We are members of, and work closely with the British Dyslexia Association. This is the national umbrella group for dyslexia organisations. We have worked with Bexley, Greenwich and Bromley Libraries to set up a collection of ‘Wordwise’ books. These are easytoread books with a high interest level. We have also donated a collection of books about dyslexia. The collections are based in Bexleyheath Library, Bromley Central Library and Eltham Library. We have a wide range of books about dyslexia for sale at all our meetings and conferences and at any events we attend. Cheques are accepted with a guarantee card.
