The group was formed after it became apparent that women in this part of the UK are relatively isolated compared to women in London who have a good choice of social groups and clubs. The group is based around a online yahoo group. The group is just one of a few in the Kent area providing a place for gay women to relax and meet other women for stimulating conversation and friendship. The aim of the group is to bring women together who may not feel comfortable with going out on the gay scene on there own. We are a very friendly and easy going group and want you to feel comfortable with who you are meeting but also the enviroment that you are meeting those people in. We meet at several gay venues in the area one being The Riverside Tavern in Rochester. The group will hopefully cater for everyones needs and all events are suggested and organized by group members. We meet each week as well as holding regular events. The meets are usally held in Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone. Events may include trips to the theatre, cinema. going out for a meal, walks, group visits plus many more. On the first Sunday of every month the group meets for Sunday lunch which is a good opportunity for people that cannot make the weekly meets to meet up with the other members of the group.
